More photos, as the Wi-Fi seems to only handle three pics at a time....

Pinnacles Provincial Park 1
Oh such a wonderful little hike this morning! Gentle up and down 3k hike on the mountain ridge here in Quesnel. Beautiful forest hike to the hoodoos. Barrie was brave enough to go out on the ridge, but not me! It is off limits but, by the worn foot path you can see many hikers have cheated. It is very high and my pictures don't represent the danger. Of course dare devil Barrie loved it. I stayed with the tame joy and searched out tiny flowers that most just march on by, remember kids....Nana says " always stop to notice the beauty of nature!" We did see two deer on our hike but they were very shy and stayed far away. Not like our tame Bambis in Calgary.
Hope you can enjoy the pictures below. There is one of Barrie modeling a high fashion birch bark cuff. He says a forest artisan would need to charge at least a few hundred $$ for it! But the park rules are : do not leave or take anything, so we left it back on the forest floor.
Quesnel BC
We are now at a lovely campground near Quesnel, BC called Robert's Roost. Situated on the banks of Dragon Lake. Just beautiful! We hope to take a hike to Pinnacles Provincial Park while in this area.
I keep forgetting to mention that all our camp sites so far have free Wi-Fi, again.....who knew!? It's been so amazing to help me post on the blog, yay!!
We will stay here for at least three nights before heading to Baskerville, the old historic mining town. We've been told there is no cell or Wi-Fi there so we will drop off the radar for a bit, once there.
108 Mile House
On the way to Quesnel, BC we stopped at 108 mile House. Great little tourist rest stop right beside the highway. Lots of old log buildings, museum and history. It's like a mini Heritage Park in Calgary. My favorite was the tiny little sod roof home beside the lake. A photographers dream 😀!
Kamloops
Well, here's the real info.....Camping at all Walmarts is NOT allowed everywhere. Who knew? We intended to stop over night at the Kamloops Walmart to save a few bucks and wait for the RV place to open Monday morning, so we could get a new door lock. NOPE, NOT allowed here because they share the lot with other businesses. OK off to the truck stop to get diesel ⛽. So, after spending $300 on fuel we figured we could justify a free night stay in the Petro Canada back lot. It was very un-glamorous but a surprisingly quiet night sleep. As it turned out, we were not able to get any warranty work on our trailer, done here in Kamloops. Emails and phone calls to our dealer in Calgary and we are going to get the door lock replaced when we pass thru Grand Praire. Covered on warranty yes!
P.S. A huge thank you to our kids and friends that gave us gas gift cards and visa gift cards! It is so appreciated and helped us get over the initial sticker shock at the pumps! Love you guys!
Winery Stop before Kamloops
Tee hee had to stop for a tasting at this little winery just before Kamloops. The weather was cool and cloudy but a little sip of this and that warms you right up! Very modern and sleek new building with a beautiful raised terrace dining area. The terrace had a lovely view of the mountains and overhead heaters, so lunch was cozy and comfy.
We discovered that one of our camper door locks needs replacing so we hope to get that repaired in Kamloops tomorrow. Cheers!
Rogers Pass
Just a couple of quick shots taken while crossing Rogers Pass, on the way to Salmon Arm, BC. While in Salmon Arm, we stayed one night at the Elks Campground. It was so nice and quiet with great washrooms and showers.

Fairmont, BC
Spent three great nights at a campground in Fairmont, BC. It is called Spruce Grove Campground. We lucked out and got the most perfect site, right beside the river! So beautiful! We enjoyed hiking and the hot springs here. The hot springs are still not open to the general public but if you live here or rent any accommodations ( including rv campsites ), you can get in. Whew, who knew? We got wristbands as soon as we checked into our campground, nice! We went there three times, ahhhh 😀 First two visits were normal and lovely, the last one was hilarious. It poured cold rain and sleet for 15mins right after we entered the hot springs. Crazy good fun.
Tomorrow we are heading in the direction of Kamloops, but we may camp somewhere else before that. Not sure, just keeping it open and easy. Hello to all our wonderful family and friends, I think of you all every day 💗 Love and hugs, bye for now 😀

Day 1 on the road.
Nice easy day. Fortunate to have good weather. Lundbreck Falls west of Pincher Creek, delightful. Who knew these were so close to Calgary? Needed to retire and start researching!
Then first night camp just west of Sparwood, BC. Mountain Shadow Campground . Wonderful! Huge site, all services, flush toilets and showers. Free wood and free wifi, so strong I am typing this beside our campfire. Tons of hiking trails here too. A bit of highway noise, but well treed and beautiful. Nice young family of deer walk through the campground also.
Tomorrow we are off to Fairmont Hot Springs 😀
