Eagle Canyon Suspension Bridges, Ouimet, Ontario

Full morning of hikes, our second stop August 10th was to one of Canada's longest Suspension Bridges. This example is  600 feet across  and 152 feet above the canyon floor.

There were two suspension bridges, the first was 300 feet across, then a short walk to the second one, 600 feet across.  Just glorious views again! After the bridges,  we walked down hundreds of stairs to the canyon floor and around the lake.  Lovely hike and enjoyed munching on wild strawberries.

The pot pictured here was interesting  as well.  It was on a pinnacle about 8 feet out from the tallest suspension bridge.  People try to toss coins into it from the bridge cable rail.  How someone got it up there is anyone's guess.  Fun!

  2. Whew! I was relieved to find out it wasn't your chamber pot from the trailer, that you had forgotten up there!
