Last night in Niagara we had a beautiful cotton candy sky. This morning I include pictures of that, a shipping bridge under repair, the 5 lane grid lock on the 401 thru Toronto and our glamorous free camp spot at the Trenton Walmart lol. Tomorrow we head to a lavender farm/winery on Lake Ontario and the Long Sault Parkway for two nights camping. Oh, and the picture of the road sign made me want to call all my dear friends and family, because I miss you! ❤

June 29 (4)
Final stop before we went back to the KOA campground today was at a local fruit orchard. They had fresh sweet cherries that were picked this morning. They are yummy! Bye for now, we'll see where the road takes us tomorrow. Hugs, B & D 😀
June 29 (3)
Two winery tastings. One at an old monastery called Monastery Cellars, the other called Two Sisters. Both were amazing spots. We bought one red at Monastery Cellars.....Two Sisters was a bit too expensive for our camping budget, lol.
Last day in Niagara June29 (1)
Up early this morning to see the falls one last time, then into a terrific old diner for breakfast. The Flying Saucer, celebrated 50 years this month! Food was great and so much fun.
Niagara, Clifton Hills June28
This place was just like Vegas at night, all the attractions, rides, entertainment! You could spend days here and a wad of cash!!!! We did not partake, but enjoyed looking at all the sights!!! The go-kart speedway had upper levels like real freeways. Dinosaur mini golf was truly jurassic at night. I had no idea this was here, wow!
Niagara Falls !!!! June 28
Made it to another KOA in Niagara Falls, set up camp, did laundry and shopping to restock, etc. We were going to wait and do the Falls in the morning but found out they color the Falls at night and set off fireworks. So we went late evening as the sun was setting and early the next morning. You'll see pictures from both times here. It was fabulous!!! So glad we came.
Also, we found out that right beside the Falls, is a huge entertainment area called Clifton Hills. Wild.....more on that, next post!
Wiarton, Ont. June 28
Still heading east. Just a short drive away from Hope Bay, was the town of Wiarton. Home of the famous groundhog, Wiarton Willie! The original Willie died in 1999, but his replacement adopted the same name. There is a monument near the water, gotta love it!!!

Hope Bay, Ont. June 27
Left the island of Manitoulin this morning. On the way to the ferry we saw a Sand Hill Crane and her chicks, sorry the pic is far away. We saw at least 50 of these birds while on the island but could never get anywhere near them!
At Manitoulin's South Bay Mouth, we drove onto the Chi-Cheemaun ferry. Across part of Lake Huron to Tobermory mainland, Ontario. The crossing took about an hour and 45 minutes. Lovely!! We passed by the Georgian Bay lighthouse and I snapped a pic from the ferry deck, it was so beautiful!
Once we were back on land we made our way to Hope Bay campground. Another gorgeous property and a Lilly pond out front in bloom. I stayed at camp this afternoon and Barrie headed to explore the limestone caves near by. A little tourist catch place, it wasn't as great as he hoped it would be, but hey....ya can't win them all. It was only $15 and got a few pics.
Tomorrow we are off to Niagara Falls, fingers crossed the weather holds out nice. 🌞
