Barkerville,BC 1

Hello again!  Back in cell / Wi-Fi range.  We spent June 4, 5 & 6 in the Forest Rose campsite, just outside Barkerville.   It's the gold rush historic site.  Tons of history reading plaques and frontier buildings to explore.  On the way here we stopped at a tiny town called Wells. I got lucky and snapped a pic of a little huming bird by the general store.  We also saw 5 bears on the way to Barkerville,  but zoomed by too fast on the highway to capture on the camera.  Our campsite was awesome  and surprising,  one side fabulous spring....the other side snow. Hilarious!  Apparently  they had 14 feet of snow here before the spring thaw.  Two other campsites near-by are still not open.

In the three days here our highway wildlife spotting totalled 5 black bears, 3 moose, 1 elk, 1 deer and even a big fat Canadian 🦫 beaver!
