Well, today marked 30 days on the road! One whole month, boy that went by fast! Today we set our sights on Heron Bay at Pukaskwa National Park.
On the way we stopped at Nipigon First Nation's for diesel. It is 35 cents cheaper here. We filled both tanks and saved $80, that pays for a campsite and then some!!
We got a beautiful campsite at Hattie Cove, Heron Bay, which is still on the shores of Lake Superior. Man you don't realize the size of the great lakes until you try to drive around them! We did an amazing 2 hour hike here. The trail took us thru the forest to the beach, then back thru forest to the cliffs edge on Lake Superior! A bit challenging with root ankle busters 90% of the trail but spectacular views! Just breathtaking and so worth the effort!
I wish I could bring everyone I know here to see it in-person, as the pictures just don't do it justice! Hugs to all, B & D
