Shorter drive today. Very scenic, took the highway less traveled, #11 east. Passed thru Fort Frances and are camping at a first nation's campground in Atikocan, called Bunnell Park Campground.
Barrie wanted to keep driving but after 5 hours in the truck Dian had enough! Even with air conditioning the plus 36 got to be too much crammed in the truck. Now relaxing in the trailer with room, air con and a beverage 🍸!
The views today were spectacular with forests or lakes always flanking both sides of the highway. The water levels are crazy high everywhere. We did see some flooded areas and some towns had sand bag pick up centres.
Not sure if you can zoom the one example I included here. The house is sand bagged and their back yard swing set is under water. We saw several places sand bagged just outside Fort Frances. 😔
