After our day trip in Chetwynd, we left Tumbler Ridge on June13. Stopped in Grand Praire to finally get our door lock fixed, did some shopping and continued driving. Hit Whitecourt, AB. around supper time. Rustled up some food in the trailer at the Walmart parking lot, then continued on to Edmonton. We stayed overnight in the Acheson Esso truck stop. Most of the day, all night and next morning in the pouring rain. As most of the province can attest to!
Morning of June 14 we drove all day to get to Barrie's childhood home, at the farm in Glenbush, SK. We stayed three nights there visiting with his Mom, brother Burt, brother Ray and sister in law Trudy. Had great times over shared meals and fun games. Also a huge thank you to Burt for helping with a custom bike rack and truck parts we needed. It rained all the days we were there, but we made the best of it and got a few minutes of sun here and there for pictures. Got lucky with the gold finch and its reflection!
